Papy works as a policeman in Kinshasa. He is HIV positive and contaminated his wife. To get medicine from the local health center, he needs to be accompanied by one of his relatives. He therefore decides to pick up a stranger to become his dear uncle…

Djibril passe son temps libre à prendre soin d’une villa abandonnée. Alors qu’il est affairée dans cette maison, sa petite case est ravagée par un incendie. Sans logis, il doit trouver un endroit où habiter.
A village in the Comoros Islands.
Djibril looks after an empty villa, abandoned by its owner. While he is kept busy in the house, his own hut is destroyed by a fire. Suddenly homeless, Djibril needs to find a new home.

1000 soleils de Mati Diop (Sénégal)
Ce court métrage est consacré au cinéaste Djibril Diop Mambety (1945 -1998), autour de son oeuvre de jeunesse Touki Bouki, 1973. Tout en évoquant la mémoire du cinéaste disparu, ce film d’introspection s’encre au présent, au coeur d’un Dakar exploré dans toute sa singularité.
This short film pays tribute to the director Djibril Diop Mambety (1945 – 1998) through one of his first films Touki Bouki, directed in 1973. As an homage to the deceased filmmaker, this film links intimacy, memories and present days in the heart of Dakar, explored in its own singularity.
