| Au
Nicaragua, Saslaya, une jeune fille de 12 ans, fuit avec son frère,
Darío, à la recherche de leur mère qui a émigré au
Costa Rica huit ans auparavant. De Managua, les enfants rejoignent
Granada, traversent le lac, longent le volcan, s’aventurent
dans la jungle ; parfois guidés par le vent, d’autres
fois en suivant un itinéraire. Sur leur chemin, ils font la
connaissance de différents personnages et doivent souvent
faire preuve d’ingéniosité. C’est ainsi
qu’ils rencontrent un voyageur étranger et son théâtre
de marionnettes, un garçon qui vend ses produits dans la rue
et des immigrants sans papiers. A la frontière, la fillette
se retrouve séparée de son frère et doit affronter
les épreuves seule. Au fur et à mesure de leur voyage,
Saslaya et Darío réécrivent leur destin... In Nicaragua, Saslaya, a 12 year old girl, runs away with her brother, Darío, to look for their mother, who immigrated to neighbouring Costa Rica eight years before. The children travel from Managua to Granada, cross the lake, walk by the volcano, through the jungle; sometimes just following the wind, other times planning their itinerary. In their journey, they encounter different characters and face many challenging situations. That’s how they meet a foreigner who travels with his hand puppet theatre, a boy who sells his products on the streets and undocumented immigrants. At the border, the girl and his brother get lost and so she has to face the hardships by herself. Along their journey, Saslaya and Darío rewrite their destiny.. |

| Ishtar, d’origine costaricienne,
iraquienne et chilienne, est née à Moscou. Après
une carrière comme scénariste et metteuse en scène
dans le théâtre, elle fonde une société dédiée à l’audiovisuel. Depuis 2000, elle travaille sur la production de son premier long-métrage, « El camino ». Ishtar, of Costa Rican, Iraqi and Chilean origin was born in Moscow in 1968. After a productive career in theater, screenwriting and directing, she founded Producciones Astarté, a company devoted to film. Since 2000 she has worked in the production of her first feature film, « El camino ». |
